Red Robin of Swindon

I have been a Swindon fan for over 20 years and have been thoroughly grateful to Mr Power, Chairman of Swindon Football Club for all his work at the club. I want to take this opportunity to express my thoughts and impressions on the recent tribulations at Swindon Town FC.

I have had the opportunity to sit next to or close to Mr Morfuni (Axis Group) on several occasions and wanted to express my thoughts and opinions on the matters at hand for all loyal supporters of Swindon FC.

I believe that throughout the years Mr Power has worked to improve the club and has only acted with the best interests of the club. I do not have this impression or experience from Mr Clem Morfuni (Axis Group), I believe that he doesn’t always operate with the interests of the club or the fans as his primary objective. Through my discussions with numerous supportors and staff I firmly believe that his motives are to advance his personal wealth by building Flats and Retail Outlets with the priorities of the club falling to the sidelines. I beleive he has befriended the loyal fans of the club to advance his own agenda and improve his financial gain through the acquasition of the County Ground from the Swindon Council.

Mr Power revoked from handing over shares to the club as he wasn’t happy with the push to secure the land in order to defraud the supportors trust in order to build Flats and Retail Outlets behind the backs of the supportors. Mr Power has often put his money where his mouth is and has financed the club out of his own pockets without any outside investments which has resulted in the clubs promotion into league one and resulted in Mr Morfuni (Axis Group) taking up legal proceedings. Mr Morfuni also applied for a winding up order in late 2019 that failed. It he was interested in the progression of the club I doubt this type of legal proceeding would have been taken.

My personal concern is that Mr Morfuni is only interested in the land as a development opportunity as why would an Australian property developer be interested in our club without huge personal gain as his primary motive.
